When Kay and Kathleen first contacted us about doing their engagement session, they knew they wanted to have it at a place that was meaningful to them. That’s how we ended up going to Kay’s alma mater – a really lovely college campus out in the Berkshires. These two hired our lead photographer Jess to photograph their wedding and engagement session, but I (Hannah) couldn’t resist tagging along to shoot some film during their session. I shot mostly 35mm film but also took my trusty Holga 120N.
We started out the session in a gorgeous greenhouse and even though it was a chilly March day outside, in there it was warm and full of greenery and flowers. A session in a greenhouse has actually been on my bucket list for a while now, and this one did not disappoint. Next, we strolled to the library and took some photos in there. The library building is old and ornate, and honestly it looked more like we were somewhere in Europe than in New England. We did some photos in the main part of the building and then headed into the stacks for some cozy photos.
Kay and Kathleen were so much fun to work with and we’re really excited to show everyone some photos from this session. We can’t wait to see these two later this year for their wedding at Coonamessett Farm.
