I associate shot this one for Lindsay Hackney Photography this past fall, and every detail was absolutely beautiful. Margaux was inspired by the romance of shows like Bridgerton and curated a day that was lush and romantic. It truly did feel like stepping into a period piece.
The wedding took place on a warm day at Shepherd’s Run, which is now one of my favorite venues in New England. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are full of unique architectural details. The ceremony took place in a walled courtyard with a sculptural focal point. The altar was dressed with romantic floral arrangements and dozens of candles. The couple exchanged their vows in the late afternoon, and the light in the garden was soft and pretty. Margaux’s elegant sleeved wedding gown matched the setting and decor perfectly.
After their ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the venue’s main courtyard as the sun set. Then, they went to the reception tent for dinner and dancing. And everyone was ready to party! The speeches were heartfelt and hilarious, and the tent was full of draped fabric, fairy lights, and more flowers. I also especially loved the black and white checked dance floor!
I shot a few photos on my Holga at this wedding and I used Portra 400. A few photos of this amazing day are below.
