Gia and Tim originally contacted me about photographing their wedding when they were planning a large celebration in Boston. Then, 2020 happened. But instead of letting it thwart them, these two just modified their plans and eloped with their immediate families instead!
Gia started out the day getting ready with her friends. She works in fashion, so I knew her bridal look was going to be amazing, and her Alexandra Grecco gown and gold headpiece did not disappoint. Her friends were all so excited for her, too. It was really lovely.
Gia grew up in Boston, and after they got ready, Gia and Tim headed to the North End, where they were married in an intimate, meaningful ceremony at Gia’s family church. They were surrounded by immediate family, and the priest who married them had known the family for years. You could tell how much this church and neighborhood meant to Gia’s family. After the ceremony, a whole lot of the people walking by actually knew them, and stopped to say hello and offer their congratulations.
Next, the couple and I wandered Boston for a little while to take some couple’s portraits. We walked around the North End, and then made our way to the Seaport for some photos near the waterfront. We even went to Lucky’s Lounge for some portraits. The couple had arranged to have an after-party with their friends there later that evening. Then, they joined their families for a celebratory dinner at one of their favorite restaurants.
