Brent and I went to Australia with my parents and my brother this November to visit my family. My cousin Sofie was getting married so we all piled into a plane for the 24 hour long journey to Western Australia. We spent a few days in Perth visiting with some of my aunts and uncles before we drove a few hours down the coast to Dunsborough for the wedding. Sofie and Mat got married near there at a beautiful property with fields full of kangaroos, a pretty lake, and lovely tall trees. We had so much fun celebrating with them.
After the wedding, we headed down to Albany, Western Australia – a small city on the windy southwestern tip of the country full of steep hills and sharp, rocky coastline. My aunt lives there in a big old house called Brackenhurst. We spent a few days there visiting with her and her two fluffy cats before heading back to Perth.
It was a wonderful trip, and it’s always awesome to see my family. I was so busy visiting with everyone that I hardly took any photos, actually. I didn’t even bring my digital camera – I just packed my 35mm film camera with a few rolls of film and used that. But here are just a few photos from the trip.
