If you guys have followed me on Instagram or Facebook at all, you probably already suspect what I am about to tell you. I am kind of obsessed with flowers. Good floral design can transform a space and have such an impact on the overall look and vibe of a wedding.
And as a wedding photographer here in New England, I’m super lucky to be able to ogle a lot of gorgeous flowers at the weddings I shoot. So I wanted to highlight some of my very favorite New England floral designers I have worked with. There are so many talented floral designers in the area, and there is no way this is a comprehensive list. But here are a few that I love, in no particular order. Click on the names to visit their websites.
I’ve worked with Amy and her team over at Luna Moss a couple of times and they are wonderful. Not only do they create the most lush, romantic, and bohemian arrangements, but they are super nice and just great to work with. One of my favorite things about her designs is how textural they are and how much she pays attention to creating interesting shapes in her work.
Molly and her team of really talented designers are amazing. They put so much care into everything they do and their work is always stylish, romantic, and beautiful. I’m always particularly in awe of the large-scale floral installations they create. They’re just a gorgeous and high-impact way to transform a space and make it look magical.
Maine and Northern New England couples – you should definitely check out Honeysuckle Way. I worked with Andrea for the first time just a few weeks ago and she created one of my favorite bridal bouquets of the season. Her work is just so lovely and has a real fresh-picked, natural feel.
The whole team at Les Fleurs Andover creates the most elegant, romantic, garden style arrangements. Their work is super chic and timeless but they also aren’t afraid to add unexpected touches. For example, the arrangements they created for a wedding I shot incorporated summer fruits like peaches.
Caroline over at Wild Folk creates beautiful designs heavily inspired by seasons and nature. To me, all her work has such a wild, natural quality – as if everything was just freshly gathered from the forest or a field full of wildflowers.
Boston Pollen actually did the bouquets at my own wedding and she did a fantastic job. Her designs are fresh and inventive and they make a statement. This iphone snap does not do her work at my wedding justice, but I loved the massive, colorful bouquets full of Australian wildflowers she made for me. They were one of my favorite décor elements.
The Wild Dahlia did the floral design for a workshop I recently attended (shout out to all the amazing women of the Flourish Workshop!) and I just loved how she transformed Warehouse XI into a tropical paradise for the day. Her designs were really fun and modern.
And if this isn’t enough eye candy for you, check out even more beauty at Moonstone and Moss, Flowers by Semia, Nectar and Root, and Crocus Hale. I haven’t yet had the fortune of working with them, but I regularly fawn over their lovely work online.
